1. Information We Collect

Depending on the form or program, we may collect:

• parent or guardian name;
• email address and cell phone number;
• athlete name and age;
• graduation year;
• current playing level, league, team, school, and primary position;
• academic information, such as GPA or current academic status;
• athletic and college goals;
• highlight-video or other links you choose to provide;
• preferred contact method;
• program, plan, trial, or scheduling interest;
• questions, messages, and other information submitted voluntarily.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, passport information, financial-account details, medical records, school transcripts, or other highly sensitive documents through an ordinary website form unless we specifically request them through an approved method.

Scheduling and communication information

When you request or schedule a trial, Fit Call, meeting, or other appointment, we may receive appointment status, event identifiers, date and time information, time zone, and related communications.

Program and service information

If a family enrolls, we may maintain records relating to participation, attendance, goals, progress, communications, agreements, payments, waivers, medical authorizations, media choices, and program administration. Additional notices or signed agreements may apply.

Technical and usage information

When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically receive information such as:

• IP address;
• browser and device type;
• operating system;
• pages viewed and links or buttons selected;
• referral source;
• approximate location derived from IP address;
• date, time, and duration of visits;
• cookie, pixel, and similar technology identifiers;
• diagnostic, security, and performance information.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

• directly from you through forms, email, telephone, scheduling tools, program documents, and conversations;
• from a parent or guardian acting for an athlete;
• automatically through the website and related technologies;
• from service providers that support forms, scheduling, email, hosting, analytics, advertising, maps, and similar operations;
• from publicly available sources or third parties when reasonably necessary for a requested service and permitted by law.

3. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

• respond to questions and requests;
• recommend an appropriate program or next step;
• evaluate program fit, readiness, eligibility, timing, or availability;
• schedule and administer trials, Fit Calls, meetings, and sessions;
• provide Homeschool, Private Training, College Pathway, app, mentorship, or related services;
• communicate with athletes and families about requested or enrolled services;
• maintain program, safety, consent, and business records;
• personalize content and understand visitor interests;
• measure website and campaign performance;
• deliver or evaluate advertising where permitted;
• improve our Services, forms, content, and user experience;
• prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or prohibited conduct;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements;
• protect athletes, families, Athletes of Life, and others.

We may combine information collected from different interactions when reasonably necessary for these purposes.

4. Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

The website may use:

• essential technologies needed for security, forms, navigation, and basic operation;
• analytics technologies used to understand website traffic and performance;
• advertising technologies, including the Meta Pixel, used to measure campaigns, understand actions taken after an advertisement, and help deliver relevant advertising.

These technologies may collect online identifiers, device information, viewed pages, and interactions with the website. Browser settings can block or remove certain cookies, but doing so may affect website functionality.

Where applicable law requires consent before non-essential tracking is activated, Athletes of Life should use an appropriate consent mechanism. Until a website privacy-choice tool is available, you may contact us at info@athletesoflife.org with an applicable request to limit advertising-related use.

5. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to:

Service providers

Providers process information for business purposes such as:

• Base44 — website hosting, forms, databases, workflows, and related infrastructure;
• Calendly — scheduling and appointment administration;
• Resend — transactional and requested email delivery;
• Meta — advertising measurement and campaign tools, including the Meta Pixel;
• Google Maps or related Google services — maps and location features when used;
• other vendors supporting security, communications, analytics, storage, professional services, or program operations.

These providers have their own terms and privacy practices. Information they process may also be subject to those practices.

Legal, safety, and protection purposes

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate suspected misconduct, enforce agreements, protect safety, or defend legal rights.

Business changes

Information may be disclosed as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, transfer, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

With permission or direction

We may disclose information when a parent, guardian, athlete with legal capacity, or other authorized person directs or permits us to do so.

Athletes of Life does not give independent coaches unrestricted access to private athlete records merely because they are coaches. Any future controlled sharing feature should be described and supported by appropriate permissions before activation.

6. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

Athletes of Life does not knowingly sell personal information for money.

However, disclosing online identifiers and website activity to advertising platforms such as Meta may be treated as "sharing," "targeted advertising," or a "sale" under some privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged. Where a relevant law provides such a right, you may request to opt out by emailing info@athletesoflife.org with the subject line Privacy Request — Opt Out.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under 13 for targeted advertising.

7. Communications

We may send communications necessary to respond to a request, confirm an appointment, administer a service, provide safety or policy information, or fulfill an agreement.

Marketing email or text messages will be sent only as permitted by law and the consent presented when information is collected. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link provided in the message or contact us. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary transactional or service communications.

8. Information About Minors

Our programs may serve minor athletes, but the Services are designed for family involvement.

• A parent or legal guardian should submit forms and make program decisions for a minor.
• Children under 13 may not independently submit personal information, create an account, or use interactive features unless Athletes of Life has implemented an appropriate parental notice and consent process.
• If we learn that we collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without required authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
• A parent or guardian may contact us to request access to or deletion of information concerning their child, subject to verification and legal exceptions.

9. Photos, Videos, Voice, Stories, and Testimonials

Participation in a program does not automatically authorize promotional use of an athlete's image, voice, story, testimonial, or identifiable recording.

Athletes of Life should obtain a separate, optional media authorization before using identifiable photos, videos, audio, stories, or testimonials for websites, social media, YouTube, advertising, or promotional materials. Refusing optional media authorization should not by itself prevent an athlete from participating.

Operational recordings, such as a mentorship replay, may require a separate notice and consent appropriate to the event and participants.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• respond to and document a request;
• provide or evaluate a program or service;
• maintain safety, consent, payment, tax, and business records;
• resolve disputes or enforce agreements;
• comply with legal obligations;
• prevent fraud or misuse.

Retention periods vary by record type and context. When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, de-identify, or securely archive it, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and our operations. No website, database, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

• request correction of inaccurate information;

• withdraw consent where processing depends on consent;
• appeal the denial of a privacy request;

To submit a request, email info@athletesoflife.org with the subject line Privacy Request and describe the request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify identity, parental authority, authorization, and the records involved. We will respond as required by applicable law.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.

13. United States Processing

Athletes of Life operates in Florida, United States. Information may be stored and processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your place of residence.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may link to or embed third-party websites and services, including Calendly, social networks, video platforms, maps, or academic resources. Athletes of Life does not control those third parties' independent privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information directly to them.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, technologies, or legal obligations change. The updated version will display a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or another appropriate method.
